compensation limits in the event of loss or damage
GTG reserves the right to adjust service levels or decline submissions where declared value is considered inaccurate or inappropriate.
6. Grading Process
Card grading is based on GTG’s proprietary grading standards and methodology.
Grades assigned by GTG represent the professional opinion of GTG at the time of grading based on the condition of the card and our grading criteria.
Grading outcomes may vary between grading companies and may change over time as standards evolve.
A grading result does not constitute a guarantee of:
card value
future condition
authenticity beyond reasonable assessment
Grading opinions expressed by GTG reflect our assessment at the time of evaluation and may evolve as grading standards, technologies, and industry practices develop. GTG shall not be liable for differences of opinion between grading companies or for changes in market perception relating to grading outcomes.
7. Authenticity and Alterations
While GTG performs reasonable inspection to identify alterations, restorations, or counterfeit items, no grading service can guarantee detection of all modifications.
Cards may be designated with qualifiers or labels where alterations, damage, or other conditions are identified.
GTG reserves the right to decline grading or encapsulation where authenticity or integrity cannot be reasonably determined.
GTG does not guarantee that any card submitted is genuine or free from alteration. While reasonable inspection procedures are applied, grading outcomes should not be interpreted as a definitive authentication guarantee.
8. Encapsulation
Graded cards may be encapsulated in a protective holder.
Encapsulation is designed to protect the card but does not guarantee permanent protection against:
environmental conditions
physical impact
tampering
deterioration over time
Any attempt to tamper with or open a slab invalidates the certification associated with that item.
9. Turnaround Times
Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance only.
Actual processing times may vary depending on:
submission volume
operational conditions
verification requirements
GTG does not guarantee completion within any specific timeframe unless explicitly stated.
